Day-wise itinerary: Leh Ladakh Adventure Tour

Day 1 Arrive in Leh – rest and acclimatise
Fly into Leh from Delhi over the Himalaya. Transfer to your hotel and rest completely for the day to acclimatise to the altitude. Short evening walk in Leh market if you feel well.

Day 2 Leh local sightseeing
Visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Hall of Fame war museum, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill and the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers.

Day 3 Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La
Cross the high Khardung La pass to the Nubra Valley (approx. 5–6 hrs). Visit Diskit Monastery and its giant Maitreya Buddha, and ride a double-humped Bactrian camel on the Hunder dunes.

Day 4 Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake
Drive via the Shyok river route to Pangong Lake (approx. 6–7 hrs), whose waters change from blue to turquoise to green through the day.

Day 5 Pangong to Leh via Chang La
Watch sunrise over the lake, then drive back to Leh over the Chang La pass (approx. 5–6 hrs).

Day 6 Monasteries of the Indus Valley
Visit Thiksey Monastery, Hemis – Ladakh's largest monastery – and the Shey Palace. Free evening for shopping.
