Drive to Kanchipuram, the city of a thousand temples, to see Kailasanathar and Ekambareswarar temples and silk weavers at work. Continue to Mahabalipuram by evening.

Morning at the Shore Temple, Five Rathas and Arjuna's Penance. Drive to Pondicherry and stroll through the French Quarter and promenade.
