Banke Bihari Mandir: One of the most revered Krishna temples in the country, Banke Bihari Temple is one of the seven Thakur Temples of Vrindavan and was constructed in 1864 by the contributions of the Goswamis. However, the Krishna idol that it houses is much older than the temple complex.
ISKCON Temple: One of the prime ISKCON temples in India, it is famous among the Indian and international devotees of International Society for Krishna Consciousness. Built in 1975 under the instructions and guidance of Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada who was the founder Acharya of ISKCON, the temple lies on the banks of the Yamuna, right where Shi Krishna and Balram were believed to herd their cows.
